All pups have now settled in to their new homes now, there's been many ups and downs along the way - and it has been great that so many have been part of the journey. There will be no more entries to this blog, so if you would like to see more of the pups see our main blog.
All puppy owners have now been invited to the main Seahaven blog; http://www.seahavendogs.blogspot.co.uk/
It will be lovely to have them as part of the wider Seahaven family.

And Then There Was One
Well there is only one pup here now - Pumpkin!
Can't quite believe that the Christmas festivities have been and gone! It certainly was a busy time here with some pups going just before Christmas and others over the holiday period. Also being ill didn't help, but with an amazing family to support as usual meant that things ran smoothly here.
With just Pumpkin here now, it's much easier to get on with things - to an extent anyway! She has managed to chew an electric cable (unplugged!!) this morning, and there was me thinking that the kitchen had been thoroughly puppy proofed! She is such a character though, keeping all of us entertained with her antics. She has a love of sleeping under things, the raised bed and the shelf of the TV cabinet being favourites.
All the pups have settled into well into their new homes and we look forward to hearing about their new lives on the Seahavendogs blog.

Accredited Breeder Scheme Visit
Apologies - This should have been posted on Friday and was somehow saved in drafts, and not published!
Today was our turn to be assessed as part of the AB scheme operated by the Kennel Club. After spending a few hours in the company of one of the Regional Assessors who checked all of our records, premises, dogs etc we are pleased to confirm that we met all of the criteria with no recommendations.
The dogs all enjoyed having the opportunity to meet and greet, giving a lovely impression of both breeds.
Just a few pics from the past few days.

Out In The Paddock
With only the three pups here it's much easier to shepherd them in and out, certainly when there's only one of us here. I thought that they might enjoy a trip out on the grass in the paddock, it's not been dry enough until now and they looked liked they would enjoy a bit of an adventure.
Carefully carried down the steps, they quickly found there top gear! Spell was trying to go so fast that her legs couldn't keep up and found herself nose first in the grass! She was not deterred and carried on regardless.
Lots of smells and different things to investigate, which included the dog walk - maybe a few potential agility dogs here. Pumpkin (who else!) found some water that had collected in the slide that is stored under the trampoline and went for a splash.
Now all fed and tucked up in the warm, just waiting for their next adventure.

Starting New Lives
Well that time has now arrived where we have started see the pups going to start new lives with their new families. As with all of our puppies we hope to see plenty of them, either in person or contributing to the blog as they grow up.
If it wasn't busy enough with preparing all of the necessary paperwork etc for the pups leaving, we had our KC Accredited Breeder inspection. So Friday we welcomed one of the assessors into our home to meet us, the dogs and puppies. They also inspected all of our record keeping, and the general welfare and health of our dogs. We were thrilled to pass the inspection without any recommendations.
Now there are only three pups here, it feels so strange to just do a head count for the three and call them the 'girls' rather than Toby & girls!
They've all spent a bit of time around a larger area of the house, particularly when the weather has been so bad. They've really taken a liking to the raised bed in the kitchen, and love to chase around any furniture.

My, Haven't We Grown!
Well it was another busy weekend, a school Christmas Fayre on Saturday, so no girls to help with the pups and then visitors on the Sunday.
The pups have certainly grown and come on in the last week, and it's nearly time for them to leave us and join their respective new family's. The puppy packs have been organised and Woody's owners have kindly printed out the pedigrees for them all.

Terrible Weather But Extra Cuddles
The weather has been awful this week, but a huge improvement today which was at least dry if a bit chilly. Pups love to go outside and have a play, though we've had to move a few plant pots and tubs as they were being attacked. They're quite heavy to carry in and out, so at times they are encouraged to follow one of us either in or out - but not always very successfully! They are just so entertaining to watch interacting with each other and with the bigger dogs. Trio loves them to bits and is often found resting her head on the side of the box watching them, waiting for them to wake up though I think.
My nanna is staying for a few weeks with my parents, so we had four generations of pedigree dog lovers in the house yesterday, it must be down to the genes!
