Day One

Is it really only day one!!  Feels like these pups have been part of the family for ages.

Yes, only 5 but one is tucked under her back leg!

Tilly is much more herself today, with the effects of the aesthetic  wearing off at last.  All had a good night, only the occasion time to locate a puppy that had gone behind poor Tilly.  So handy sleeping next to the box, to keep an eye on things and not really have to leave my bed.

We have had to lift Tilly out of the box in order to persuade her to go outside to the toilet, this has been quite difficult as we haven't wanted to hurt her as she is rather sore.  Thankfully this afternoon she has been much more willing to leave the box for a few mins to have a toilet break, and is so keen to get back in with her babies.

The pups have found the heating mat this afternoon too, and it was lovely to see them all lined up having a sleep whilst Tilly napped in the box with them.  It's amazing watching how well they can get around, as long as they are on the vetbed or mat they have no problems.
